Tools:

 

  • SWOT analysis:  a method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats related to a project or in a business.

  • REMANUFACTURING DECISION-MAKING FRAMEWORK (RDMF): can be used as a checklist of support strategy definition since it contains key factors for remanufacturing strategy (Subramoniam et al, 2010).

  • Scenarios for remanufacturing/ reuse of machine tools and assembly equipment for Brazil in 2020: scenario technique was used to project possible future situations for remanufacturing and reuse of machine tools and assembly equipment in Brazil. The authors took into account economic, environmental, market-related, political, social and cultural, stakeholder-specific, and technological factors. These factors can be considered also for supporting strategy definition.
